Hotel accommodations on Tortola, British Virgin Islands?

A popular spot for the people that visit from St. Thomas is the Treasure Isle Hotel. However if you want to shop around I included a link to a list of Tortola hotels.

While in Tortola, you'll probably want to engage in watersports more than anything. Lots of beaches there. You can also take tours to several ruins. Major attractions include the Sage Mountain National Park and Callwood's Rum Distillery.

Effective Jan. 8, airline passengers who are U.S. citizens will need passports to fly back to the USVI from Beef Island Airport.

But USVI residents and visitors will not need passports to return to the territory from the BVI by private boat or public ferry.

The combination of a birth certificate and government-issued identification card will continue to be sufficient for water transport.

One of our favourite places to stay in Tortola is the Sugar Mill Hotel. The beach there is great for swimming and the food is outstanding.

Are you a US citizen? If so, if you travel after January 2007, then a passport is needed. If you are a citizen of another country, it is possible that a visa might be needed, depending on your citizenship.
