Want to impress her? Pull out a little Socrates vs. Bush Co.... Tell her that you've learned that the only people capable of being in charge of others are people who are thinkers (and, willing to ponder the ideas and thoughts of others) and are not concerned with the rewards power can bring; those who are more worried about what knowledge can be gained and how their charges can benefit from the knowlege.

This is a personal question.
Think back to something a grandparent taught you.
Like, holding the door for someone or never spitting on the ground.
Then, as a result manners have gotten you great treatment from people around you and you learn to respect as well as be respected.
That's the sort of thing you need.

the best lesson i ever learned was to always PAY ATTENTION in class and always take good notes otherwise you'll fail at life. i think my grades taught me that.
