    By definition of the derivative

    g'(x) = lim h=>0 [g(x + h) - g(x)] /h = lim h=>0 [3xh + h^2]/h =

    lim h=>0 [3x + h] = 3x

    Substitute (x) with (x+h) where there is a function of x and you will get it
