Mummy Movie Canopic Jars?

Just watched the Mummy movie trilogy for the umpteenth time. Does anyone know what is in Imhotep's canopic jars? Couldn't be his internal organs because he was still alive when he was entombed and all the removed was his tongue. Guess that was why he needed that guy's tongue.

I know these movies are fantasy and the names of the characters are all from different dynasties, but for the most part they did try to stay accurate is some respects.

Did you know Imhotep was not a bad guy at all? He is known as the father of Egyptian medicine. And Ankhsunamun was Tut's wife!

I love the Mummy movies. I always assumed that his organs had been removed but that the curse kept him semi-alive even without them. He needed to replace the organs by taking them from the tomb robbers. Seti I was the Pharaoh in this, and he gets a bad deal, imo. The book "The Search for Om Sety" is a very interesting read for anybody interested in Seti I and ancient Egypt.

I loved those movies. I have "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns". Is the third one you talk about the animated one? There had to have been some of his internal organs in those jars. That's why they used those jars.
