How much do web publishers get paid to serve ads from RealMedia, Undertone, SpecificMedia, Link Exchange, etc?

It depends on the following factors:
- advertiser rate
- frequency the banners are shown
- revenue sharing between publishers and the ad network
Take for example a Monster.com banner ad campaign -- it typically pays anywhere from $0.90-$1.50 CPM. If the campaign is not capped and shows continually, say 100,000 impressions for $1 CPM, that means the web publisher can make $100 from that campaign.
Assuming that the revenue sharing with the network is 60-40 (with publishers getting the 40%), then the web publisher earns $40 from that campaign.
Add to that the other campaigns that the network offers to publishers.
With banner ad networks, you make more money if you have a lot of traffic. With contextual networks such as Google Adsense, you can make bundles of money even if you have little traffic but your audience is responsive to ads and clicks.
