Could you still be thankful?

granted the loss of a loved one can be indeed hard to endure .... however must be thankful for the time we have shared - regardless of the amount of time ..... for you see, none of us knows the number of our days, only God knows that for it is part of His plan ......

two things are certain - death and eternity ......

that is why it is important to value the time we have and to be ready!

Absolutely. Of those you mentioned, only my father is left. I care for him deeply but I know that someday I will lose him too. I make a point to tell all of my loved ones how much I care about them whenever I can because I know that I may not have another chance.

My family has passed away one at a time, but it would have been devastating if I had lost all of them at once. However, after the initial grieving period, I think that I would be able to be thankful for all of the people and things that I still have in my life. My family wouldn't have wanted me to stop living because they did---they would want me to live more fully and to learn that the short time we have is very precious.

If Satan was the one that took them as in the case of Job, I hope I would be discerning enough to realize it and not blame God for it, so, yes, I think I could still be thankful. I know God's plan includes the resurrection of the dead and the reuniting of families and that he has the ultimate power over anything or anyone who might try to get in the way of that.

So long as humanity exists, I can find a family. There is only a very fine line between the family-of-blood and the family-of-choice; genetics. And we're all over 99% similiar genetically anyways. So really... all of humanity is my family. Some are just close enough to recognize for what they are due to blood, some are just close enough to recognize for what they are due to the ties that run deeper than blood.

Yes, I can still be thankful that I live and have chance to continue growing and learning. There is a reason you are the only one left. There is a purpose to every life. When you find yours and you live it then you're life isn't something you feel burdened by but something you feel thankful for.

Yes, I would still have many blessings to be thankful for. As a matter of fact, I did lose my dad to cancer this year, and I still love God, this was a very difficult year for my family, but what is the point of being angry about it? We all praise God for what he has given us,

I could be thankful for what I still had and for the time I had with these people. Remembering the good times helps ease the pain. When my mom died I remembered who she was, what we did together, and every thing she did for me, even though it still hurt.

Because I'm older, I've had this experience. And yes, I can still be thankful, because I have happy memories. I know that bad things will always happen, and I can get bitter and angry, or I can be thankful for the good things I still have.

in a sense I am alone and yes is the answer. there are many things I am thankful for even though the loneliness is awful at times.

Thankful or faithful? I would still have faith in the Lord, I would not understand, but would know that God knows what is best and that there is a reason for my suffering. (see the book of JOB)Thankful? Well I would be thankful that I have faith and that God is in my heart.*
