Service Pack 2 was installed for XP on an IBM now the computer has a fatal error!?

How do I get it back to orginial state without doing a recovery?

Update:

I've tried to do all of that but it keeps recycling the power.

Reboot hit F8 key before windows starts. Pick option to start Windows in Safe Mode. Do System Recovery from a day before the Service Pack was installed. Good luck!

Did you not make a recovery Disk before you installed it?

If not reboot in Save Mode F8, Click Start, Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, Remove it

You must uninstall Service Pack 2. It's not for all computers. The same thing happened with a Sony Laptop of someone I knew. Start the computer in SAFE MODE by pressing <F8> at powerup, and then uninstall it.

start the computer, hit F8 while it is booting, choose last known working config
