where is the oil sending unit located at on a 1994 dodge stealth.is there any special tools needed

Look for the oil filter..right next to the filter is the sending unit. Single wire attacked to it. Their is a special socket for sending unit switch's
but you might have an access to it or try a deep six point socket.
