My partner has decided to go to Japan in March to snowboard...?
I think he's going to have an awesome time and I want to get him some good christmas presents that would make his trip more enjoyable. I can do the obvious, like buying him some yen to spend, but what else would be good xmas gifts??

You could get him a Japanese/English dictionary, phrasebook or travel guide. Japan, especially the smaller cities, aren't too English-friendly so a guide or phrasebook might come in handy.

the Burton AK backpack that you can strap your board to. This comes in handy when taking the trains and shinkansens to and from the snow resorts.

Umm...that's more of a personal question because you know your partner and you know what he likes. It's hard for someone else to answer that because they don't know him like you do. Sorry.
