In most states, when you make a statement, it is a true and attested statement, and some states, swear you in. If you try to revoke it, could be contempt of court, perjury, making false statements or any other law they dig up.

When you make a statement, it is intended to be true and accurate and I cant think of any good reason why someone would want to pull it, unless the person its against done some fast talking.
