Is it true college tuition is free in California if you are a resident?

    California did have free tuition. Not many people realized that, this ended, what, about ten years ago maybe more. I think Texas still offers free tuition, its residents, unless they have ended that program as well. I say look it up on the states' website.

    If you are veteran, there are a few states that waive tuition cost. Check the military.com website

    Free? Now that's funny!

    It's not as expensive as private universities, but free, no even close.

    Community colleges used to be free. That changed in the early 80's, I think.

    If that were true, the CA college system would owe me a refund of untold thousands of dollars for all the checks of mine they cashed!!

    No I went to UCI, LB State, and Cal Poly. All costs money.
