Avatar help?
How do I put on a custom avatar? I don't want those spooky big-eyed cartoon people that yahoo provides. I want to put on a picture like some of you do. How do you do this? I've tried everything and can only figure out how to put my picture on the yahoo messenger. Help!

A custom Avatar is usually a *.gif file. While an iconn is an *.ico" file.
You need to make certain which you want to use.
They are handled though in much the same way.
For instance, the "Y!" on Yahoo, is an icon. It is kept in a temporary folder and is called up when the command is sent from a site that uses it.
Also, if you have a file that shows an icon, such as IE (the large E), if you right click on the icon, at the bottom of the pop up box will be properties. Click this and you will often see "change icons." This can be done by selecting what is presented when you click "ok" or you can browse for one.
I have a folder in which I keep all the icons that I might need, that aren't included in a program's .exe file or a .dll. When I want to make a change, I browse to the folder and select the icon I want, and it is changed.
In the same way, Avatars are changed. They are small pictures.
Often seen in forums, they will have a section of Avatars and ask you to choose what you want or to upload, your own.
You do this the same was as with an icon.
For custom ones, or just ones you like and want for yourself, keep them in a folder. In my case, it's labeld "Avatars."
When the forum or where ever Avatars are allowed and they give you the option of choosing one other than theirs, tell the program you want to use yours, it will ask you where is it. Go to that folder, select it, upload it (which usually will be done for you as soon as you select it and say "ok"), and your in business.
If you do a search in your Operating System, for "favicon.ico" you will find icons that are presently being used. To make it yours, copy it to a folder, and change its name to something suitablie; e.g., "yahoo.ico." and the same with avitars on the internet. Copy it to a folder, name it "***.gif and it's yours to use. Make certain though that you do not infringe upon any that have a copyright.

I've visible it. It's a fairly well film, I'd ordinarily provide it a eight/10. Good scenes, well photographs, well animation. And fairly cool creatures. It's 162 mins of effective-ness.
