Menopause question?
How long does Menopause usually last? I was just diagnoised....and I'm 40...so I wanted to know how long I have to go through this.
And if you have any tips on how to cope, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thx

Perimenopause is that time when symptoms(hotflashes etc) first show up due to hormonal shifts...that may last 10 years or so...one year period free is considered POST menopausal...menopause IS(by definition) that exact moment in time when your last little egg is released...

I've always been told your looking at a easy 10-12 yrs dealing with the menapause. Remember though everyone is different and all deal and run different courses. Don't let it get you down though there are lots of stuff on the counters these days for the hots sweats and such.. Just go to a near by health store or talk to your dr.. Good luck your in your prime lady....
