This is a very tough question to answer. Many people believe that the housing market will continue to cool this year, and may pick up next year. I personally have been sitting on the sidelines rather than purchase; my wife and have not bought a new house, despite pressures for more space (due to the arrival of our baby daughter). I suspect others are doing the same because of high prices and interest rates that have crept up over the past year.
My suspicion is that the market will get worse before it gets better. If you really have to sell, your only option may be lowering the price again.

There is a real big bubble and it is breaking, but home price are what is called sticky, or slow to come down.
There is the strong emotional bond and illusion of grandeur of there home and how much it should sell for then there is realty.
The other thing that make the prices so slow is moving it most people have there head in the sand except for once a month when they have to right the check.
Check out this web site it tell how the bubble was made and from that you can find out when the market will turn.

Of course the market will change. The question is when?
