How can I get rid of a trojan called VIRUSBURST FAKEALERT?

Question

The trojan is designed by a disreputable company that places the trojan on your system and then it directs you to theie website forcing you to by their shonky tool to remove it.

It comes via a program called "Ultimate Cleaner" which is disguised as a system cleaning tool available for download off the net.

The are the lowest of the low lifes and I hope the authorities catch up with them soon. I know I am making every effort to track them down and will happily assist others who may be doing the same.

 I sincerely hope the authorities catch these people first ..for there own protection and the protection of their families.

This virus is really doing nothing more than be a nuisance but I would still like to get rid of it.

I have tried all of the leading spyware tools and they cant get rid of it . Any help greatfully recieved.

Update your antivirus software with the latest patches and do a full system scan. IF you have no antivirus program, download AVG antivirus for free (i think its called that) and repeat the steps above.

Symantec norton antivirus 2006/7 is also highly recommended. Also  visit the symantec website, as they are updated daily with virus and trojan threats and possible solutions.
