Like beside my user name on the messenger it displays the game that I am currently playing.

messanger will automatically tell (show) ur buddies u r playing

click the little arrow next to your name that's by your avatar. You'll get a list of choices like available, busy, etc. At the bottom of that list is one that says new status message. You can create your own or go preferences, privacy and click the "playing a game on the Yahoo! Games web site" box and it'll do it for you automatically.
