can anyone please help with this dual monitor problem?
when i click the identify button in the display settings i get 1 on both screens. everything else looks great. What could be the problem?

try cross patching the VGA cable.
if you are using a AMD mobile notebook/laptop with a standalone flatscreen as the duo, then you have to solve software priority compatibility issues.
you need to tell me if you are using dual screen as serial-display or parallel display.
if serial , then you have to enable serial detector on both laptop and the properties of your flat screen.
Also, it matters what os you are using.
