This may be caused by gum disease, or brushing to aggressively. If it starts to get too sensitive, use Sensodine toothpaste, or you can have perio surgery. This is when they would take some tissue from the roof of your mouth and place it over the exposed roots.

The reason why you need to get that checked by a dentist or periodontist is because it can be an odd thing for gums to receed only on 2 teeth. It is a big clue that something else is going on.

There are many reasons for this to happen. One is a certain kind of bacterial infection that can only be treated specially after bacterial testing. Another reason is a crack in the tooth or problems with the pulp/nerve of the tooth and so it is creating bone loss in a specific area. There are several other reasons.

There are some things that can be done to repair some of the damage done such as minor periodontal bone grafting, etc. but you need to find out the underlying reason why this is happening.

You can't reverse the problem, but just be careful not to brush too hard on those areas and floss!

floss & brush for at least 2 minutes softly.
