Why should we have service learning projects in a college community?
This is for a sociology class project. I'm collecting proof of existing projects and want to the point of having service learning projects in a college community.

But if you do it's so they can make sure you're a good little liberal.

If you are attending a liberal arts college or one that is focusing on service vs. research then a project is essential to understand the daily issue that occur in every field that one wants to enter in to. By doing a service learning project, you actually are a participant, problem solver and gain valuable real life experience that cant be beat.
