I drink coffee it works at times but when my body is really tired I knock out! Can you suggest ways I can keep myself awake to do my studies! hey i just finished my promos in october! hm ok let's see, the making notes advice really helps, trust me.
but u want advice on how to stay awake.
1) straight after work, shower and sleep for like 2-3 hrs. that makes you rested, recharged and ready at ard 8pm right? in the day, plan beforehand what ur gonna do at nite. if possible lay out ur stuff before u leave in the morns so tt when u return in the evenings and see ur stuff, you will feel MOTIVATED to STUDY!!!
2) sit down with a big plastic tumbler of PLAIN ICED WATER. for you to drink. coffee doesnt work for me, that's why i drink iced water. also, include a SMALL BOWL and a FACECLOTH so tt u can pour some of the iced water on it to wipe your face in case u get drowsy.
3) start studying!!!!!!!
4) i read somewhere e ideal temp for studying is 19*C, but i think tt's too freaking cold so i juz set it warmer( ard 24*C) so tt it'll keep me on my toes and i wun fall asleep.
5) if you realli cannot stand it due to fatigue, take a 20 minute power nap. sit on your sofa(not bed, you'll juz wake up in the morning!) and let yourself zone out. you'll fall asleep soon enough. of course set your alarm for 20 mins, no more, no less.
6) turn on light backgound music. or blast loud, incomprehensible rock into ur headphones. if there's no lyrics, u wont get distracted. or just enjoy the wee hrs silence. you know urself best.
7) i think u'll be able to survive till 12am studying, at least. i survived on 5 hrs of sleep almost every night. of course, u know urself best, dun push urself till u collapse e next day!
ALL THE BEST FOR UR PAPERS!! own them!!

Firstly I would say don't work yourself too hard. Your body won't be able to cope with working until you "knock out"! Tiredness brings a lack of concentration and understanding so it will be hindering your studies further and won't help you in the exam. Also it's just unhealthy and won't do you any good.
- It has been proven that a better thing to do (a better time to study) is if you go to bed early and then awake up early and do extra studies int eh morning before you start the day.
But, if you are fighting a little tiredness there are several things you can do...
- Take caffeine/energy drinks such as Red Bull
- Eat apples, apples contain a special chemical which makes them better than caffeine at waking you up and boosting energy!
- www.knackerfactor.co.uk is a website set up by scientists with a formula you can use to calculate when you, personally, are most awake during a day and so when is the best time to study for you
- A refreshing environment can help, created by doing something like opening the window
- Playing music helps your brain work as it tunes into the music and keeps you awake as it follows the song
Hope this helps!

Rather than trying to cram for the exams, why not make study notes now? The important things you know or think will be on the exams write down in your own words. Explain the process to yourself in writing - using the text book and hand outs from class to be sure what you are writing is correct.
Do this for all of your classes.
Then a few days before the exams start reviewing your notes - if you know what is on your notes pretty well (which you should if you've written them out in your own words explaining what you don't understand or writing the vocab words in sentences, etc) you should not need to stay up really late right before the exam to study because you will already know the materials.

If you are 18 and over I suggest adirol. It is an upper that will keep you awake for whatver quiz or studying. DONOT abuse this drug because it is addictive. Use moderately and read label before. This is only a temporary suggestion!
Source(s): I had a friend(an artist) who had to fin a painting so he took adirol and stayed up the whole night painting. I watched him work like never before. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

you have to accept that humans need to rest.this is why we sleep.if you want to study/stay awake, you need at least 4 hours of sleep.try to manage your time to get your 4 hours sleep.for example, if start to go to bed at 11.30 pm,try to wake up at 3.30 am.do this regularly/consistently until you find out that your 4 hours of sleep is enough for you to do all your daily activities.but, always remember to sleep peacefully b'cause you are a normal human.don't let works prevent you to have a good rest!hope u try it & good luck!

whenever you sense sleepy, take a walk to the washroom and wash your face. The actual interest helps save you conscious. It won't help in case you take a seat continuously for a protracted time.
