College football:
1987: Woody Hayes once said that when he died, he wanted it to be on the 50-yard line at Ohio Stadium. Instead, he succumbs in his sleep to a heart attack at his home in a Columbus suburb. He was 74.

Woody Hayes died in his sleep on March 12, 1987. In 1986, Mr Hayes said he had his 2 greatest honors.
To Dot the I in the Ohio band before a game (a huge honor in OSU football), and he was asked by the students and the college to give the commencement speech for the class of 1986. Mr. Hayes was so moved, he broke down and said it was the greatest honor he'd ever been given.
What's sad is that Bear Bryant; who was a very shady person behind the scenes; a pretty much borderline alcoholic, womanizer and many other sketchy things; is revered as an icon, when Woody Hayes is vilified due to his stupid punch in anger. When Woody died, there was a little footnote in the sports illustrated on the back page and when Bryant died, SI did a huge story with Bryant in the front page.
Hayes was a fantastic coach, and a great man.

just like most people on YAnswers, you're stereotyping an entire fanbase based upon a few people. I'll bet you've seen maybe 4 or 5 people post questions here complaining about the refs in the OSU v Illinois game. And you conclude that "Ohio State football fans and coaches are such crybabies." Stop stereotyping. And also stop being a crybaby about the crybabies yourself.
