Does anyone have any ideas for a narrative essay?
It must begin with the line "The water was rising around me"

Yeah say you woke up and it was a dream, but then go on to discuss how you're going on a little sail boat with friends that day. The sail boat breaks (hit a rock, another boat, whatever) and it's like your dream becomes reality. Avoid a cheesy ending have it so that everything ends up black (like death) eg, I took my final breath (sort of thing) and let myself drift downwards. Make sure there's something obvious between the dream and the reality eg, a reg lighthouse in the distance or something, so that readers realise it was a premonition

if you wanted to do a wacky story you could always do a narrative essay, but through the eyes of an animal. but don't give it away, just see how long the readers take to guess that your actually an animal rather than a human
