your variable is x so you replace that with 8, since x=8 since there are no signs between the 9 and x in 9x , that means to multiply them so that is 72 so your answer is 72 + 5 or 77 , hope that helps

you just replace the variable x into 8 since the value of x is 8. then you are going to multiply by 9 coz the operation is multiplication as 9(8)+5 result is 72+5=77. all the variable that given in the problem just replace it to the given value of a variable.

    substituing x=8

    =72+5

    =77

    wasn't that EASY?

    ( - 5 / 2 ) ( 4 / 11) = - 20 / 22 = - 10 / 11

77 because you just plug in 8 for x and then solve
