something is wrong with my cd rom and it wont start the program computer keeps saying they cant find it?
i dont understand why this rom wont work in the computer. do u know whats the probelm or of a website that oi could go to to fix this problem. i went to control panel and tried to add the program but it stilldid not work please help me with an answer cuz this rom is very important

check the ribbon cable on both sides of the cd rom..the back and the board...the cable is probably loose

I think i can help u, but first u must tell me what brand of cd-rom do u have and the operting system u r using??
and when u open my computer do u see the cd-rom icon or not? if not then open the device manager in system at the control panel. then tell me, when expand the cd-rom do u see any yellow or red marks on it??
try that and get back 2 me.

Sorry but if it doesn't detect it and you have allready installed the drivers. Try add hardware tab. See if that detects it.
If you cd is detect but still doesn't work.
get a new one

run a CD drive cleaner disk.
if the CD lens is dirty, it won't read the disk properly.
make sure the CD is clean
