Your friend has the right to medical health care. He should not be turned away. Many hospitals that were built with federal funding have a program called Hill Burton which will pay all costs for patients unable to afford healthcare.
Hill Burton Program - free or low cost hospitalization

The American Cancer Society has local chapters that he can call and they will guide him to resources available:
He may also qualify for Medicaid, so he should get in touch with them to see what they can offer:
Medicaid

Depending on circumstances he may qualify for social security disability benefits:
He should also check Patient Advocate Foundation for financial aid options.
Patient Advocate Foundation - helps with financial issues by state:

And, he should try to contact a hospital social worker who can guide him in filling out applications
for local financial aid. Social workers will also be aware of local resources that can help him.
Good luck.

call the American Cancer Society, every town has a county hospital, they can not turn your friend away, regardless of ability to pay. There are several organizations who have programs for cancer patients, I know because I happen to be a cancer survivor, I had no insurance when I found my cancer, but spent a lot of time on the phone. Check with skin doctors in your area, some have a heart, believe it or not, and may see your friend and be able to help out. Good Luck, God Bless

Your friend should seek social service assistance as soon as possible if the cancer diagnosis is confirmed. Skin cancer can be fatal! The doctor or hospital that provided the diagnosis should have all the social service information readily available. There is an alternative therapy for skin cancer using bloodroot paste. I've provided two links below and an online search for "bloodroot paste skin cancer" (without the "") should provide you with more information. However, even this should be used under the watchful eye of a doctor. I will repeat - Skin cancer can be fatal!!!

He can apply through the local assistance office for Medicaid.
He can also contact the American Cancer Society--sometimes they will foot the costs of treatment in cases like his.
