decent pc games?

im getting a new pc in january but want decent games to go with it. i love all world war 2 stuff, football manager, and racing games. i'm planning to get borothers in arms, football manager 07, and load the medal of honour games on too, but can anyone tell me of world war 2 games which are NOT first person and instead its like the warhammer style where you've got the overview of it all, and build stuff, move tanks etc? and plus, does anybody know where i can but the old school football manager? back then called championship manager? thanks

Old strategy games such as the ones you are talking about, are really hard to find. I remember playing a game called Tanks by SSI back in the 90's, was turn based.

It seems most of the video game arena has move into the 3d dimension.

I do like and play Red Alert 2, i know it isn't World War 2 and is showing it's age, but i still find it quite enjoyable to this day.

get the call of duty games, theyre great. theres supposed 2 b this ww2 rts game as well, its a lot like warhammer 40,000 its called something like codename: panzers i dont remember. some other good ones:

Unreal Tournament 2007 it hasnt come out yet but its going 2 b great.

rise of nations+thrones and patriots expansion this game is a bit dated but its still a very good game 2 get, it just might b a little hard 2 find.

F.E.A.R this game has excellent graphics and very intelligent AI i highly recommend it.

Well this isnt under your criteria but Rise of Nations is a great game, basically you take over a nation, build its military and knowledge, build ancient wonders, and then you try to take over your opponent. When the game starts you are a prehistoric nation but throughout the game you can continually update to get into a futuristic nation (start off with spearmen and archers and end up with Nukes and helicopters) Also it has great online play.

#1: It's refurbished - not always the best. #2: For hard core gaming, you want a core 2 duo processor #3: For hard core gaming, you want at least 2-4 GB RAM memory #4: Go with a custom built computer!

try command and conquer : red alert . its a war game, but not exactly ww2. you can play as the allies or the soviets, build atnks, war factories, establish bases, take over enemy buildings with engineers, everything. its really good, one of my favourites. you get missions with get harder as you go along, or you can play last man standing skirmishes. with the skirmishes, you can play as a load of other countries, like france, england ect. all of the countries have special weapons or soldiers. france has the french grand cannon (great fun!) and the british have snipers. you have total control! i love it. good luck, hope this helps!
