The tree should already be up by that time. Make sure that you do some window shopping up and down 5th Avenue. You will find some great gift ideas there. Take a stroll through Central Park, and make sure you you go to the big toy store. There will be tons to do there, just keep on walking around and taking in the Christmas spirit that envelopes the City this time of year. Have fun!

Carry a gun (but only if you know how to use it!), and NOT a purse.
Try to catch a broadway act, or the Blue Man Group show.

be careful as there are a lot of " undesirables " who might try to take advantage of anyone even those who live there. please do everything in your power to protect yourselves
