my 3 month rottweiler puppy has bloody diarrhea....?

i don't know if you noticed but every day i ask about a new problem concerning my puppy.... I am getting very tired and upset because from the day i got him i visit the vet almost every day....

it costs a lot too but that's the last thing i care!

he had bloody diarrhea when i first got him. the vet had him on treatment giving him shots almost every day for a week... then he was fine. next we had his tail docked and the stitches came off or the puppy bite them, i don't know and we had that fixed for a second time... now he is fine with that as well. next after his second vaccination he started limping his one hind leg. the vet said that he might have hit somewhere and a neurve is being pressed so he can't use his leg.He wants to see him again this afternoon. but i will ask him to take x rays because i noticed his right hip sticking out more than the other and i am afraid if it's dislocated or if he has hip dysplasia... Now he has bloody diarrhea again with much more blood this time :(

Update:

but through all this problems he is very energetic and playing all the time... i guess that's a good thing... and no i am not giving it away anywhere. i want wats best for him and i don't think anyone else would give him as much attention as me... he is by baby and i'm totally in love with him... please don't give me this answers, i cannot accept the. give him away for what reason? to let him die or to let them kill the poor thing? they don't give a ****. i already called them 3 times since i got him just to inform them but it seems they don't care...

if i gave a puppy away i would want to know if he's doing ok...

Wow! I'm glad you have an appointmnt for tomorrow! It sounds like your pup is still in real danger..Not much you can do for the bloody diarrhea tonight, other then withholding food and encouraging fluids, pedialyte, if you have it..You should probably call to move up your appointment if it isn't early in the a.m.

The diarrhea issue may be from worms, young puppies have to be dewormed as often as once a week in the beginning to two weeks during mid treatment and then once a month until 6 months old.

Tail docking, well, that's not the puppy's or breeders fault, it just happened.

Depending on where the vaccinations were given, it could be the cause of the limping. Get a second opinion about that one. And do have the hips checked. It might just be related to the limping.

When you go to the vet, bring a stool sample with. Then they can tell which dewormer you need and there is medicine that can be used for the tummies for dogs.

Hope your puppy feels normal soon, hang in there. I"ve been through so much with my dogs, i know how you feel. But it will get better.

Do you give your dog calcium?

Maybe try taking your dog to another vet place. Dogs after a vaccination limp because it hurts but it should only be for a day or two, take him out for walks. As for the diarrhea try changing your dogs diet or the brand of food, believe it or not dogs are very picky of what they eat. If they didn't like what they are eating and are forced to eat it because they have no other choice, their stomach reacts to it and it tends to rattle their tummies, the blood is just a sign that everything inside is working!! Take your dog in to a vet's though and make sure that the stitches he got the second time didn't affect the body, but this time go to a different place!

You obviously have a sick pup on your hands. Sounds like he may have coccidia and/or parasites. The hip would be of major concern to me because of dysplasia. If you don't feel that your vet is doing all he can to trace the cause of the problems, find another vet. Why shots for a week for bloody diarrhea? Could he not take liquid or pill form antibiotics? Has he been checked for worms or coccidia? Check out this website

These are a few things that could cause the problem with the bloody stools.

Good luck with the pup....In my opinion, you bought or got a pup from a back yard breeder or puppy mill. These people will sell dogs just for the money and don't care about the health of the dogs they sell or whether they meet the criteria of the breeds that they sell.

Bless you for wanting to keep him and treat and love him.

I really feel for you! I went threw some similar things with my dog when she was a pup. She's doing fine now! Just hang in there and try not to worry so much. Your dog may have just chewed up something that has upset her stomach. I think other causes could be diet in general. Have you changed his food lately? What kinda treats are you giving him? Or it could just be bacterial, and they could give him an antibiotic to help him get rid of it. As far as the limping goes Its sounds like it could be due to the extra load he's putting on it due to the nerve damage on his other leg. I'd get the xrays from the vet tomorrow to put your mind at ease, and take the xrays and get a second opinion.

we had a litter that ended up sick with parvo because of the lame guy we bred our dog with (we took the 6 week old puppies to his house for the weekend so he could choose his "pick of the litter".... at any rate, we hospitalized one of the puppies, and figured we would lose the rest... we lost 3 and saved 4 plus the one at the vets. our secret was quite literally to stay up for days on end and spend every moment with the pups and feed them chicken and rice soup and vodka. im not sure it was the best idea but we did save half the puppies. it was a very trying week and very sad to continuosly try to save teh pups. in the end im not sure saving the pups was worth the effort, of the 4 dogs we saved plus the one the vet saved.... their temporments were very unlike their parents.... the one we took to the vet was just dumb. he wasnt smart like his parents, and though we had him for 2 years, he never even learned his name.... and we spent many hours trying to train him. another one went to live on a farm and within the first month of being their got dubbed the chicken eater. go figure. the runt survived, which i thought was odd, but maybe it was because she was used to getting stepped on, and therefore had some added survival mode in her.... she turned out normal and smart and happy. im not sure about the other two as they went to other homes. about parvo.... it should be another 4-7 days before parvo is out of the dogs system, it will eventually go out of his system, if you and the dog can hang in there that long. Just remember that parvo is attacking your dog and he might not be the same dog when he is no longer ill. you will know when its out because your dog will actually look for food, want to eat, and not be so listless....

Maybe get a second opinion from another vet. If this vet keeps you coming back and charging you money then apparently he is not doing something right. Search around for a new vet, expain the situation, and see if maybe they can help you more than this one is. Good luck

If your pet isn't up to date on deworming or hasn't been wormed during the last two weeks.I would suggest reworming him.Ask your vet to check his fecal,as he may have coci, which requires meds such as Albon to clear up.I would also suggest finding another vet,as this one seems to not be diagnosing the cause of your problems;therefore ripping you off.
