Does George Weller deserve Prison?

I think he does, regardless of his health. There are a lot of people who feign illness to avoid prison. This guy killed 10 people and was convicted of doing so. How can you get probation when you kill 10 people and injure many others? He may be a small burden on the taxpayers in prison but what kind of prescedent are we setting?

"LOS ANGELES (AP) -- An elderly man who killed 10 people and injured more than 70 others when he drove through an outdoor farmers market was sentenced Monday to probation by a judge who said he believed the crime deserved imprisonment but the defendant was too ill.

George Russell Weller, 89, was convicted Oct. 20 of 10 counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence in a case that ignited debate over the licensing of elderly drivers. Weller, confined to a sickbed, was not present.

I guess they are of the assumption that he will never drive again and may be dead before a year passes.

And, perhaps, the shock of going to prison may kill him as well.

even nonetheless the liberal media information shops would have you ever suspect that your query is mainstream and that maximum individuals area collectively with your variety of questioning - We do exactly now not! you're off on a thorough liberal island among the Hollywood lunatics and others conspiracy nuts. i've got little question that your island of human beings would have condemned the Civil conflict, WWI and WWII in case you have been alive throughout the time of those circumstances. i'm now not asserting Iraq is a merely conflict or now not - time will tell. notwithstanding i be conscious of this... If the three wars I observed did now not happen or had we retreated it might have replaced our international as all of us be conscious of it as we talk. i do now not doubt that if we had as we talk's surprising liberal minds working the international back then none human beings would have the privilege to have this open style and substitute techniques. Wars are grotesque and opposite to a liberals ideals no person LIKES THEM - yet do now not do now not think of for a 2d which you're actually not the beneficiary of such conflicts that have been resolved via the U.S.

NO, he's almost dead now, so it would be useless to send him to prison. If he was younger, then I would say YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
