At what age do toddlers begin to sleep through the night?
I have a 10 month old baby...he wakes up about 3 times to eat at night drinking up to 6 ounces or even more...Is this about right?

At that age he should be sleeping all night without waking up. Do you have a bed time routine? Try doing the same thing each night, bath, diaper, story..etc. Then give him a 8 oz cereal bottle. Or he might not be getting enough solids during the day. He should be eating solids 3 times a day at least. My 9 month old started doing that and it took me a month to realize that she wasn't getting enough to eat during the day. Also, if none of the above works, does he need a blanket? Mine won't sleep without one, maybe he's cold.
If none of that works, it's a comfort thing. He knows mommy will come when he cries. Make sure he doesn't need anything and let him cry for a few minutes. Go in, check him, tell him it's night-night. Leave the room. It's really hard to listen to them cry, but a few days of doing that and he will learn to comfort himself back to sleep on is own. My baby now sleeps 12 hours a night!

I'd say no more than once a night would be normal at this age. Try patting his back and other things to get him back to sleep, does he use a pacifier? Make sure he is full before he goes to bed for the night but he should be able to go atleast 8 hrs. I'd try and get him to drink an 8oz bottle before bed. Does he eat solids? My youngest got up at 5 am til he was about 15 mo old and then went the full 12 hrs without eating.

All four of my children didn't sleep through the night until they were 18 months old. My 4 1/2 year old twins have started waking up during the night and come to our bed at night. My husband says it's because they "can't cut the cord" and want to "suck the life out of everybody". I think it's because it's the only time they can spend time with their dad when he 's not yelling

Sounds like he needs more solid food to me. Thankfully my youngest started sleeping through the night at all of 2 weeks but my son...well he was a different story! What eventually helped when he was about 9 months was giving him a scrambled egg and a bottle before bed. He still woke up early but we at least got about 6 or 7 hours of sleep a night.
Good luck!

Are you following your pediatricians advice about not feeding him solids until they are a year old? (supposed to help stop food allergies)
I started feeding my son cereal mixed with his formula before bedtime at 3 weeks (my moms advice) and he did not wake up hungry until the morning. Imagine growing as much as babies do and having to live on a liquid diet.
Follow the same routine, feeding on a regular schedule. A nice bath before bedtime helps too. Also, try not to let him go to sleep at least 5-6 hours before bedtime, he will be more tired.
Good luck, and try to get some rest, even if you need to hire a babysitter so you can take a nice long bubblebath and get some much needed sleep.

He should not be getting up 3 times a night, even one at this age might be to much. Sometimes when they go through a growth spurt they might wake up more and need to eat at night otherwise they shouldn't be.
I would try other things when he wakes up wean him down to 1 bottle at night and eventually none. I wouldn't go cold turkey because that would be tough for him.
Try just maybe patting him on the back or rocking him a little and putting him back down.

supply it time, only wait and notice and attempt to no longer get pissed off. while my daughter became into around that age she began getting her 2 year molars (that are the worst) and awakened contained in the midsection of the night crying. Did you verify to ensure if hers have been coming in? i individually does not use the "cry it out" technique with the aid of fact there is greater desirable than probably a clarification for her getting up. My husband is a truck driving force and via the 1st year and a nil.5 of our daughter's existence he became into basically living house approximately 5 days a month, i assumed on the initiating her getting up became into regarding that with the aid of fact she did no longer recognize while she awakened if Daddy could be there, finally I asked her if something injury and she or he suggested confident and pointed to her mouth. Then while she have been given up I had the Orajel (which i do no longer propose utilizing in the time of the day with the aid of fact it may reason choking with the aid of fact it numbs the mouth and that they might't experience themselves gag) waiting, a bottle and supply her some tylenol. Then after she fell asleep returned to mattress she went. when you consider which you suggested she is speaking extraordinarily plenty i might ask her, she will additionally be having undesirable aims. regardless of the clarification is, only wait and notice you will get via it, i recognize that's stressful on occasion exceedingly at that age. in case you have any questions or only prefer to speak be happy to message me.

My son started sleeping through the night at 14 months, which is when he stopped using sippy cups, I dont know if that had anything to do with it though. Either way you look at all kids are different. Hell, I still dont sleep through the night !!!

I don't think so. He should not have to eat during the night unless you are not giving him solids. If he is just on formula, the poor kid is hungry...he needs more then just formula.
