This may be silly, but why do cats eat hair?
My 5 year old cat loves to eat my hair. I pick her up and she starts chewing on my hair. She's not the first cat to do this either. My first cat, Sugar did the same thing? Anyone know why?

I read that its a sign of love, so maybe thats it. She is showing her love when she does it. I love when my cat does it. Long and short...its a sign of love. Enjoy it and give her lots of loving.

My one kitten does that too. Cats groom each other as a sign of affection and contentment with the other cat. She's showing that she loves you, and is giving you affection. I would say put your hair up, or put it in a hair net. I don't mind it, I think it's cute. I've gotten to the point where I don't even wake up anymore when she does it lol.

He/she is not trying to eat your hair. Your kitty is trying to groom you as a sign of affection and bonding. My cats do it to everyone in the house. They have an easier time of it with my father and mother, who both have short hair. However, I have long hair and they inevitable catch some long strands in their mouths and it looks like they are eating it.
Or they like the taste of your shampoo...

When I bend over, Kitty chews my hair. I think it's his way of showing me his kind of love.

My cat does this when he wants attention, most often when it is close to dinnertime!
