Why did Charles Rangel vote AGAINST HIS OWN draft proposal in 2004?
That's right. He voted against the very draft he proposed back in 2004. Why would he do this unless he had ulterior motives?
If a person is genuinely against war, the LAST thing that person would do is propose legislation which would require that millions of people join the military.
Totally absurd.
It also assumes that one would not support any war if he was directly impacted by it. Using that logic, no one would volunteer for the armed forces.

The same reason that all the Repubs who so desperatly wanted term limits refused to term limit themselves.
Yes some did 'choose' not to run again, but when it came to voting, most refused to abibe but the same rules they wanted.
It's the issue more than the substance.
At least Rangel was honest about what he was doing.

Because the language had been changed in committee. It wasn't the bill he originally intended. Before accusing someone of having ulterior motives it's good to have all of the facts.

Because he is a fraud. He only wants to turn Americans against the war.
