What does it mean when a Broadway show ticket says "Partial View"?

We're going to see Wicked in NYC and have Orchestra seats and the tickets say "partial view" on them. What might this mean we'll be "missing" or unable to see?

typically it means that you're so far left or right that you can't see the entire stage.

A good broadway show is original, fresh, and exciting. It's unique and has it's own style. Typical broadway shows are all the same, usually boring, with similar plots. Non-typical broadway shows are outside of the box. An example of a broadway show that has become popular but isn't the typical would be Cats, which has a unique plot, fresh dances, and great songs.

I believe that this question has a simple solution. Though at first seeing complex, a simple minute of contemplation can display the answer. The subject is a performance at the Broadway Theatre. Therefore a 'partial view' ticket informs the recipient that their seat will only allow them a 'partial view' of the performance. That is the answer. Salutations.

It usually means you are behind a pillar of some sort. We have bought seats like this and have never had a problem.

The seats are bad; usually at an angle so you don't see the entire production.
