i am a college student who has a crush on her BIOL prof.?

Here is the thing. He is only 5 years older than I. He flirts back, but I don't know what to do. He is gorgeous and smart, but I am stuck because I am his student and I would not know how to tell him that I do like him.

Update:

he is 27 and i am 22. he isn't a full time prof. this isn't a university of any kind just a small community college

You don't want to jeopardize his teaching career. You shouldn't say anything unless the professor makes the first move. If he makes the first move, then he's voluntarily putting his career on the line then.

First, find out what your college rules are. Don't do something that is going to get one or both of you in trouble.

Second, assuming no problem with the first thing, just come and tell him. If he does like you, he may be concerned about making any overt moves, for fear that he will get in trouble. If he doesn't, assuming you don't act like a love struck teenager, he may he come to respect you a little more for your mature attitude.

You may strike out, you may hit a home run, but if you don't step up to the plate, you'll never know. (sorry, hope you understand the baseball metaphor:) )

I'm sure you're not the first, and I can guarantee you won't be the last girl to get herself worked up over him. Don't do anything- it's unethical on his part, and possible against school policy.

wait until you don't have classes with him and graduate! I would be careful, you don't want a bad rep.
