Yes.
Try a formula from Mead Johnson called Nutramigen.

Also Mylicon drops will help his/her tummy.
Babies ALWAYS have to sleep on their backs. Remember the phrase "Back to Sleep"

Give me more details about your baby. Age? Bottle or breast fed? Type of formula? Started baby foods or cereals yet? Pacifier? Does s/he start the colic at the same time every day?
My first baby used to get colic every day at five in the evening. We realized that 1) she was letting off steam after a long day of baby activity, and 2) my milk production had slowed by then, so she was getting less milk from more effort. Sometimes we'd try formula or expressed milk, but usually we'd just have to let her cry for a little while until she fell asleep (not more than 30 minutes on average).
If your baby has a cow dairy allergy, you might try some of the special formulas, like the soy. Just buy one can, though, in case that turns out not to work.
Another thing, my baby used to get stomach cramps from the cold (she was born around this time of year), and her tummy would tighten up. We found just one extra layer of clothes and a blanket helped her. FYI, babies who are swaddled snugly tend to have less colic.
Some people have found good success by doing a cradle hold, but with the baby face down, so that his/her stomach is on the arm. One family even knew to keep their thumb on the baby's chin while they did this. Worked every time.
I've seen people strap their babies into the carrier/carseat and sit them on top of a running clothes drier. Obviously you'd have to stand there with the baby to make sure there are no falls.
I know it's frustrating. If you feel yourself getting too upset, please don't be afraid to just put your baby in the crib and close the door for ten minutes so you can regain your sanity. A little crying won't hurt the baby, and you'll be a better parent if you're not on the edge.
Hope this helps.
