Why do people call John Kerry a traitor for a bad joke but...?

ignore Rudy Guiliani blaming the troops for problems in Iraq? Isn't that hypocritical?

http://www.bluebus.org/archives/20041028_rudy_guil...

And for anyone who says anything about this being a liberal website, I do remember when this happened. Rudy was on Imus the next day and flat out DENIED saying it, even though he was on tv doing so.

Update:

How come those that posted an "answer" just to attack Kerry had NOTHING to say about Guiliani's statements? I don't get it...

Update 2:

Your comments were not there when I added the additional details. Lose the attitude, will ya?

Sadly, the Republic party if full of mindless morons that have no sense of self-thought. They tend to play 'follow the leader' on issues quite often without ever stopping to question whether or not something is fact or looking into the details.

Kerry has been a consistent target of this. Any person with half a brain knows Kerry was not seriously trashing the military. The man has two purple hearts from being injured twice in combat.

But, they keep on with their mindless rhetoric... playing the game of lets try to beat down those liberals.

Sad fact is, they are the ones who lose in the end because even if that kind of stuff works, America loses in the end. It is all about winning to them.. winning for their party and not America... I mean seriously, look whom they elected into office and look at the mess he has made. All so they could say ha ha we won.

The statement made that they didn't,t search hard enough isn't nearly as volatile. If he said it and denied it that is a problem. I'm a moderate but usually lean to the right. Kerry's comment was simply a blunder and shouldn't of been such a big deal I agree. Though Kerry led the charge against the US troops in the seventies and he was a Major catalyst for some of my friends being spat upon by fellow Americans as they came home to our country tired , maimed, and war weary. I shall never vote for him. Bottom line both sides make blunders but whatever we do we should only vote for politicians with moderate views. That's why the republicans imploded and why the democrats shall implode once again. The moderates on both sides have more in common with each other than they do within their separate parties. The far right and far left must be rooted out so that we may accomplish what is best for future generations to come.

Guess as far as they are concerned, Kerry should be held to higher standards than Guiliani. Kerry's statement was simply blown out of proportion, Guiliani flat out stated that the troops "didn't try hard enough". Big difference.

    Yes, that is hypocritical.

IMHO, Kerry is not a traitor, just an idiot. He has a right to speak his mind just like anybody else.

I don't know what Guilliani said, either it didn't make the news or I just missed hearing about it. If it didn't make the news, I guess that would be hypocritical of the media.

This link is from 2 years ago.

    Which is even better.

It was from back in the days when any criticism of Iraq war was cause for screaming "coward" and "traitor".

The blame rests on Dubya and Rummy.

They are apparently the people who gave the order to troops to "not secure" occupied areas.

Give people a chance to gather up weapons and explosives .....iaw loot.

Conservatives and Republicans created this mess.

And they should pay...politically at least.

And I wouldn't mind seeing a few of them go to jail...eventually.

John Kerry padded his military record and said lies about the troops in the Vetnan war causing many POW's to get very bad treatment along with the TRAITOR Jane Fonda, look it up.

This is the same clown who annouced to the world that he was getting a divorce from his wife at a press conferrence. She was there and knew nothing of it. Of course he also cheated on her as well. He will go absolutely no where if he runs for President. He's got more baggage than a paper bag factory.

Yes it is hypocritical and an attempt to distract public opinion away from the failed policy of the Bush Administration.

Is he a traitor no. But was it a freudian slip of what he feels (i think yes). Come on you honestly believe that was his joke? You suggest we are as dumb as you think we are and quite frankly that is a joke.

Don't kid yourself he is a self-righteous elitist that got worse grades than GW. He does believe you have to be an idiot to signup to go to Iraq. But statement of a traitor but one that has contempt for the "lower" classes options.

Because neocons love to magnify even the smallest thing into the BIGGEST MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT EVER HAPPENED IN THE WORLD!!!!!! They take 1 thing, blow it up, and try to say its equal to all the 1000s of horrible things their party has said and done.
