Going back to my last question about the "separation of Church and State"?

If the State cannot make laws concerning religions, why then is Michael Newdow and various other athiest forcing the State to do just that?

Update:
Update 2:

Magpie,

Last I checked, the government is being made to produce laws concerning religion.

Is what one man holds dear, not as important as that which another man holds just as dear/

Update 3:

The State cannot make laws that endorse religion, which is what the athiests are fighting against.

Government is not in the religion business, but on a regular basis they try to sneak it in through the back door, which is where the athiests and the ACLU have to step in.

edit: Perhaps you could give an example of a law that you claim the government is being forced to make concerning religion?

They don't usually use Congress though, typically, they use the judiciary because most judges nowadays have this notion of "living constitution" which is garbage. While pretending to be for "flexibility", such notions actually are rigid in that they don't allow the constitution to work as intended (ie. legislatures making laws, judges interpretating laws).

The founding fathers never meant for this country to be a sterile secular state like France where religious expression is buried in the church or at home. America is different.

The gov't can keep religions from interferring with the gov't. That's what American Atheists and Americans United are trying to prevent - religions meddling in gov't affairs. Like telling people who to vote for, or trying to get their doctrine taught in public, tax-funded schools (while the churches don't pay taxes).

It's a conspiracy! For all to long people have accepted Christianity as long as we stay out of the way of worldly desires.

Stay inside the box! But know a new generation has come in the name of the LORD almighty and we've stepped out of the box!

Same, same.Perversion and misinterpretation of church and state. It's gotten out of control.Somebody is in the background fixing the problem as we speak.

It's got to stop.I bet the ACLU is sliding money under the table to Mr. Newdow.Did you know those same dollars I mentioned are our own tax dollars working against us.

The ACLU is the enemy of all of us religious or not.

um ur gunna have to give more info concerning that... technically they cant if its on private property, but if its on public property thats a different story.

but then again if you can sue mcdonalds for having "hot" coffee, and you spill it on yourself... or can sue a car dealer for putting your car on cruise control cause it claimed it could "drive itself" then nothing is that far fetched.
