4. You should see on the right side of the window a key name "(Default)", with Type "REG_SZ", and the Data value is "Outlook Express".

5. You need to clear out the content of the key in step 4 above. How! By double clicking on it, or by right-clicking on it and choosing Modify, then delete "Outlook Express" text and then click OK.

6. Close the Registry Editor window. You are set now, and you have no default mail client anymore. You can at anytime go to your IE Options to set one.
