    Born Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel, in London, England, his parents were Adebisi Samuel, a Nigerian immigrant, and Francis Samuel, an Afro-Brazilian immigrant. A childhood battle with discoid lupus left him with distinctive facial scarring and hair loss.
