Ok, yea Kramers a racist I get it. The funny thing is, the more publicity He gets the more attention He gets and thats really what He wanted.
And in Hollywood, even bad attention can help sometimes. Black folks who are understandably offended are making the same mistake that Muslims make when they are offended. If they just ignored these idiots they would just go away.
Don't give them the attention they want. Instead, as predictable the black community is gonna milk this for all the race baiting mileage they can.
Ya see, for folks like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackass racism has become a profittable industry to exploit rather than a cause to champion as it was in the past. Therefore much of the black leadership have lost their legitimacy.
To make matters worse with the rise of the Hip Hop and Rap culture it becomes increasingly difficult to take blacks seriously when they casually debase each other with the very slurs they protest as if the struggles of their ancestors which they themselves never experienced somehow absolves them of being accused of racism themselves.
Yea, Richards could have handled it better. He could have said something like...
"Don't you guys have a drive by shooting to go to?"
"Hey are you two guys on the downlow?"
"Ah, the natives are getting restless..."
"Hey, I'll buy ya'll some hotwings if ya let me finish."
"That's it, no more Colt 45 for ya'll!"
"Hey I think I hear your babymama call'in!"

Michael Richards has been in movies and other TV shows, yet nobody has mentioned his racist rant affecting how we perceive those shows or movies. We cannot condone what he did, and additionally should not punish viewers of the show that he is best known for. True fans will realize it was Michael, and not Kramer, that said those bad things, and they will continue to support and watch Seinfeld on TV and on DVD.

He's a Comedian & if the general public knew how difficult it was to do a comedy skit in a club that has a lot of background noise, they might not be so quick to judge his actions. These customers interrupted his act & once your timing is jolted, you forget your lines. He was under trememdous pressure to be a success & this whole episode is proof that he probably wasn't ready to play to that kind of an audience. I live here in L.A. & I stopped going to comedy clubs because of all the rudeness of the patrons & the club owners don't enforce their rules & policies. From the minute you walk through the doors, there is heckling, laughing (prior to a punch line), people yelling ourt drink orders & the club owners don't seem to give a damn about their performers. So, in a way this whole thing will be worth it if the comedy clubs pay attention to the fact that they wouldn't be making a profit if they had no customers & they would have no customers if the performers weren't there. Bottom line, the people doing stand-up comedy are being treated as poorly as the women who are exotic dancers by the owners of these businesses. What a way to get attention. I hope it was worth the risk!!! People need to get some basic skills back in their lives when they go out on the town! :o)

What he said was out of line, but I think is being taken too far. He said irresponsible and stupid things, but it is not as newsworthy as people are making it. He's a has been who's had his day, no need to concentrate on him.
I won't let it affect how I watch the show. The show is fiction and not offensive, so why let it bother you?
As for having no black people on Seinfeld...I guess you haven't seen the show because there were plenty of characters. I think I've seen more on Seinfeld than I ever saw on Friends.

My take is this. There are certain ways to handle a heckler and he picked the wrong way. Unfortunately during that time he showed his true colours.
Personally I think he should've ignored them and carried on with his routine.
I too used to love Kramer. I thought he was the funniest one on there. Now I think he's an idiot. Anyone who uses the "N" word (black or white. Don't matter) makes them sound like they are an idiot. Which usually means they are. It's a wrong and hatefull word and no one should ever ever use it. Not when you're angry and not even just referring to a friend in a friendly way. That word is just plain wrong.

I definetely think he is a racist!!! Most times when we get mad we say things we truely mean. Regardless if he felt he was being heckled, it was way off base to act that way. Not everyone is gonna find your skits funny at comedy clubs, so he should know that not everything that comes out of comedians mouths are funny!!!
He should be ashamed of himself and regardless of his pathetic apology on David Letterman, its not good enough!!!! I feel as though that apology was truely a way for him to gain some support back. IT WAS NOT SINCERE!!! If anything he should of went on daytime TV instead on late night comedy shows.
Also I dont feel as though it is being drug out. If it were a black man/woman saying cracker this cracker that, things wouldve been blown up a whole lot more then this is!!!!!

There was a black person in seinfield, lots of times. Remember in the Courtroom case?
Regardless, he was pissed off. A lot of people say things they don't mean when they're upset. And he was raised in the 1950's. That's simply the world he grew up in. If you get upset you may take it back to the ghetto, or the street, or wherever place you grew up, glamorous or not. He grew up in racist times and someone caused him to lose his temper and he became indignant. I'm not mad at him. One would simply think that because he was a star he'd find himself higher than caring what two simple bystanders had to think of his performance or request the bouncers to remove them or quiet them.

It's all so pathetic. Who gives a rats @$$ if he called a n*ggar a n*ggar!?! I get called a fat ***** now and again too, you don't see me boo-hoo-ing over it. All people are entitled to say whatever they wish rather it's right or wrong. And believe it or not, there are worse things that a person could be besides a "racist" like a mass murderer or a child molester. People need to get over it!!!

Didn't hear what he said recently, and really don't care. Everybody loved mel gibson till he said something about a jew, kevin costner, tom cruise...Lighten up, and live your life. What do I care if Rosie O'donnell bolts on a rubber dick and drills Anne Heche in the can. I have my own damn problems
