It is very sad that people take the Koran literally. I would say that it an allegory for the bliss of heaven. I believe that the shi'ites interpret much of the Koran in an allegoricall fashion. The old woman took it literally. She will know when she gets to Heaven, if she does.

BTW, I don't think it's proper to bring religion into the picture. These suicide bombers are misguided terrorists who have been taught only the violent second half of the Koran.
