A good neighbor is someone who will be there for you if need be. I agree. But "at all times" sounds like a bit much to me, but that is because I have neighbors who expect me to take care of all their animals any time they go away for a weekend. And if course I do that, but then again, it's a bit much: cat, ducks, chicken, rabbits, fish, doves, and a list of what each animal needs in the morning, afternoon and evening. And when they just leave and call me from the other side of the country "we are in Amsterdam for the weekend, we thought you will take care of the animals" without asking me before they leave... it gets over the top. Especially when there is never ever even a thank you afterwards. So when "being a good neighbor" becomes a one way street or when the neighbor's help is taken for granted, it feels no longer like good neighborship.. it becomes being exploited.
I hope this helps you out.

Depends on what kind of neighbours u have ...not all of them are at yr good services ..some cant be bothered with u ..or turn out to be nasty if they hate you for some reason u dont know ..or some can go all the way to lend u a hand ...
It all depends on ur luck n fate if u have a good neighbour!
cheers !

A good neighbour should help when it is convenient to, not necessarily all the time. If you want someone to help you all the time, hire a butler.
