How do you keep cat's from climbing on christmas trees.?
Is there a liquid you can put in the water for the tree or some aroma you can put around the tree so they will not cross it

orange or lemon scent should do the trick, cats do not like the scent of citrus and it's a pleasant aroma for us as well. Also I've heard that putting a few balloons on the tree that will burst on impact and scare the cat can help although I've never tried it myself.

I yell NO and squirt my cat with water. It doesn't hurt them at all and they will eventually learn to leave it alone. My cats just lay under the tree and sleep now.

put something around the tree that they don't like the smell of,my cat doesn't like oranges. Pepper could get in their eyes and hurt them.

Sprinkly a little pepper under and in the tree. Or keep a spray waterbottle handy.
