Do racist people "Pass on the rage" to their children? I see people who are in the 'race rage' and don't know

It is ingrained into them at a core level during their primary learning development. Most do not even realize it at all.

Well that's actually a good question. The first person said yes parents pass on racism or "prejudice" to their children. Not so many years ago parents used to teach their kids the racism that they believed was the way the world was meant to work. Some of this still exists today in organizations such as the KKK, Al-Queda & Black Panthers etc.So although parents play a big role in the rise of prejudice in children I do not believe the claim that the blame is solely theirs is true. We live and always have lived in a prejudice world whether it be racially, politically or even physically biased it's all prejudiced. So rascism and prejudice veiws are passed down to generations not only by parents but by the enviorment one lives in. There are only two places in this world where prejudice does not exist in the crib and in the grave.

When it comes to technology the society is progressing quickly. When it comes to changing peoples views and opinions it's a lot slower process. Nature and nuture both play a part in racism and prejudice. We learn from the actions and vibes of our parents. It takes a lot of work from within and from society to change what we have grown up with. Racism comes from difference and intolerance and not understanding. More education on how we are the same but have different ways of doing things and better tolerance will help stop racism.

Yes, children learn how to behave and react to certain situations from a direct correlation from their parents. They see their parents acting a certain way over a situation or how they react when asked to do something or their opinions on something and the children listen and quickly catch on. Racism will not just simply "go away", it's going to take years and years and years to diminish but not die.

I would have to disagree. When I was a child I one time called a another kid a ******. This was the only time my mother ever hit me, and I was ground for two months and had to study the civil rights movement for the entire summer. The werd thing was that I had heard that word from both sets of my grandparents, and my father's entire side of his family.

Children have to make up their own minds.

Yes, racism is a learned attitude/behavior. Fortunately it can, in some cases, be unlearned.

My mom is a bit of a biggot, saw it growin up. Didnt understand her, though I thought she was wrong, thats why Im not like she is at all.
