when it's raining, will you get more wetter if you r running than when u r walking?

Consider u have 100 metres to go from A to B, and it's raining constantly, there's no cover for u. When will u get more wet ? - when u r running from A to B, or when u walk from A to B? Why do you think so?

You will gather more water by walking. The Mythbusters had to try this twice, as their artificial rain was not a proper model, and when tries multiple time with real rain, the answer was that you should run.

The explanation -- fortunately as it makes sense -- is that if the rain is homogeneous, one can assume that whatever falls from above is exactly equivalent from what has already fallen, so that one could divide rain into two components: a field of rain drops that hover in front of you and that you simply run into, and a stream that douse from above. The static field you will intercept no matter how fast you go: there is rain in the front of you and you hit it while moving. But the rain that falls on you from above is a function of how long you stay in the rain, and you should try to minimize that, therefore running helps.

I think you'll get equally wet either way. If you run, at least you will feel as though you are doing SOMETHING. However, running in the rain is rather more dangerous than walking considering the slip and slide factor. I'd walk, and just grit my teeth and arrive wet, but safe at Point B.

You will get less wet when you run from A to B because

you are in the rain for less time.

  • you'll get wetter walking A to B because the rain will have more time to soak you through. Running a to b, the rain has less time to soak you through.

If you are running you will get less wet because you will be spending less time in the rain.

The answer to this question my man is..You will get wetter if you run. When you walk water hits you from above, so only your head and shoulders would be accumulating water. But this changes when you run, you move aprox. 10 to 12 mph faster hitting the drops of water infront of you while you still catch the ones falling from above.
