Orchard Bank Credit Cards: Credit Limit increase?
I have a Orchard Bank credit card and I would like my credit limit increased. They say that they occasionally do credit account reviews and if all is well they increase your limit. Does anyone out there know when those "periodic" reviews are? Does anyone know how much they typically increase the limit by? Thank you

Don't hold your breath. I used to have a Platinum Elite MasterCard with a $300.00 credit line and no annual fee and they fed me up with that same story.
During the miserable 13-months I had that infernal card, they NEVER increase my credit line even after several requests and they never will, it doesn't matter how perfect your credit reports are.
Orchard Bank is a predatory lender. If you threaten to close the account if they do not increase your credit, they will rather close the account than give you a credit line increase.

I have had an Orchard Bank credit card since March of 06, started out with a $750 limit and am now up to $1100 limit with them. It seems to have improved my credit score. I also have the First Premier credit card that I have had for over 4 years now, started out with a limit of $300, have only been bumped up to $575 with all the monthly fees and annual fees. I even have a bankruptcy on my credit history, about 4 years ago. I think I would ask them to raise your credit limit. If you have been actively using the cards they should raise your limit. I would like to know where you got a card with a $5000 limit, I have not seen that anywhere. The highest limit anyone has given me is $1300 with Washington Mutual Bank. Send me the information if you can. I am really interested in that one. I read that closing your accounts does hurt your credit history, so I think I would wait for about 6 months to a year before closing them.

You can call the bank to get an increase. It can be as high as 30% of your current limit.

If you want a credit increase, do what i did ..
i emailed to them and say 'i demand a credit line increase or i'll cancel the card.'
Unlike my previous email, i emailed them and asking for a credit line increase, they told me that i just had it not long ago(they let me know by email). So there's no way they can raise my credit. But this time, it's different - they will send me a notice within 7-10 business days. Haha, if they don't raise my credit, i'll cancel the card!
Just demand the increasing amount!
