Why do people not share their pic for their id on here. Wouldn't it be nice to see who's asking or answering

Hmmm....there are a lot of young teens on here.....but I'd like for adults to use a picture as their ID.....then you kinda know who you're communicating with!

1 of 2 things. Either they don't have a good digital camera, or the fact that most people you would probably rather not see more of them than an avatar.

I like playing with the avatar myself.....and I think people will be more open and honest with their answers if they have a certain amount of anonymity ...of course, conversely, they are more free to be a jerk and say insulting things by hiding behind a pseudonym and fictional picture....so I guess there are pros and cons to remaining anonymous...

I think the use of avatars (etc.) or no picture at all is another safeguard to protecting one's privacy. When people can't see you, you feel like you can say anything at all. But I actually like the avatars because you can tell what people think of themselves based on the hairstyles, clothes, and backgrounds they choose.

Well if I knew how to do it, it might be interesting. It would be nice to see everybody's face so that a face could be put with their user name.

Is that you? well, that thing on the left is as close an approximation of me as I can get because I don't know how to get my mug in there, and I really don't care too anyway.
