Whenever you see any number inside an absolute value figure, it is always positive, unless a negative sign is outside the absolute value barrier.

Absolute value means the actual distance the number is from 0. e.g. 4 is 4 from 0. 15 is 15 from 0. -20 is 20 from 0. It's VALUE is negative, but it is still twenty spots away from 0. Think of it as a distance. Distances can't be negative in any meaningful sense.

In short, just take all negatives off of numbers to find the absolute value.

    2

    6

    9

    15

    47

    78

    180

    574

absolute value just means that numbers distance from zero on a number line so in other words just make the number positive.
