I have an indian head nickel...looks very old..but the date is completely gone...how do I know if it is worth anything?

If it is so worn that you can't read the date then it's barely worth more than 5 cents if at all.

The date worn away lowers the value, Some misprints were made. Check out more like yours on eBay, there are hundreds of them. Start the search out with highest to lowest value in the search box, under Indian Head nickels or coins.

take it to a coin shop, they can tell if it is worth more than % cents, I bet it is just because they don't make them any longer. It may not be worth much but in time it will become worth more.

it's worth something to someone, I had a bunch at one time, but sold 'em for $5 each when I was hard for cash once
