Is any over the counter immune system booster better?
I have tried Airborne, ColdMD, and Zicam. ColdMD seemed to work the best. I missed a special on this on last night's news and need to start taking some of this stuff as I am going to England and need to stay healthy. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest you stop washing your hands, and stick them in your mouth a lot. Hey, you might get really sick but it's the ebst way to boost your immune system. And lay off that antibacterial soap. Eatting candy off the floor might be a good way to start.

Seriously, try hanging out on the Quackwatch series of sites. I have yet to find a product that is proven to work. Moreover they are a huge rip-off and can cause harm.
One doctor points out that:
"From my introductory lecture in Basic Immunology:
The whole immune system is maintained by an elegant series of regulatory cells, proteins, and other molecular regulators.
To indiscriminately disrupt ("boost") any part of this network would be disastrous to the host. The concept of "boosting" the immune system is actually part of what occurs in autoimmune diseases, or as Paul Ehrlich called it, "Horror Autotoxicus"."
Also antioxidants, such as Vit. C are in reality quite good for our health, but as something you buy over the counter they are also quackery.

OMG - do not get the flu vacciune! that is between the few vaccines that still makes use of thimerosal - a neurotoxin! Why inject that into your infant (or you)??? to spice up immunity - I sprinkle acidophilus powder on my foodstuff and positioned it in my infant's milk - each day. the kind in healthfood shops are truly better than purely acidophilus - they comprise all lines of stay cultures. in case you're taking this each day your immune equipment (and digestion) will be tops.
